Comparing the Bible and Quranic Manuscripts

While Muslim critics of the Bible may claim that the text of the Bible has been corrupted, they are never able to pinpoint a specific time that this alleged corruption occurred. For 400 years after the death of Muhammad, Islam adhered to the words of the Quran affirming that the Taurat (the Quranic word for the Hebrew Torah) and the Injil (the Gospel) had been sent by their god and would be preserved by him. But it appears that sometime in the 11th century, they finally realized that Muhammad was nowhere to be found in the Bible, and it seems that a decision was made to blame it on a Jewish and Christian conspiracy to hide his name from the world. It has been pointed out in previous posts that Muslims seem enamored with the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ spoke Aramaic, primarily because they believe it proves that He worshiped their god, Allah. But the similarities between Aramaic, Hebrew and Arabic are only proof that they have the same Semitic roots and not much more. What's In A Name? Yeshua versus... Esau?

God didn't name Jesus "Isa" in the Bible. He named Him Yeshua , short for Yehoshua , which means "The Lord Saves." Is the claim correct that Paul wrote most of the New Testament? Critics make this claim to try and support their assertion that Paul somehow hijacked Christianity away from the Mosaic Law and into his own "grace theology." Where is the Word Bible in the Bible?

Another silly claim one hears from Muslims is that the word "Bible" is not in the Bible. While finding the word in the Bible proves nothing more than that some Muslims really don't think some of their arguments through, it might still be of interest to note that: the VERY FIRST WORD of the VERY FIRST VERSE of the VERY FIRST CHAPTER of the VERY FIRST BOOK of the New Testament is the Greek word Βίβλος which means "book." And which is transliterated as BIBLOS which is where we get the English word Bible .
