Here is more proof from the Bible that it is the Lord Jesus Who is the Prophet of Deuteronomy 18... and not Muhammad:
17 Then [Yahweh] said to me, ‘They have spoken well.
18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.
Deuteronomy 18
Note the words God uses as He speaks to Moses. He said (bold italic text mine for emphasis),
"I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him."
God says, "I will raise Him up... I will put My words in His mouth... He will tell them everything that I command Him."
We know for sure that this refers to the Lord Jesus because:
a) The Lord Jesus was raised up from among the Israelites. As the Apostle Peter testified...
...
17 “And now, brothers, I know that you did it in ignorance, just as your leaders also did.
...
22 Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you.
23 And everyone who will not listen to that Prophet will be completely cut off from the people.
24 “In addition, all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those after him, have also announced these days.
25 You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham, And all the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.
26 God raised up His Servant and sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”
Acts 3
b) The Lord Jesus spoke only what the Father gave Him to speak:
49 "... the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a command as to what I should say and what I should speak.
50 I know that His command is eternal life. So the things that I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”
John 12
c) The Lord Jesus told His followers everything the Father had commanded Him:
7 Now they know that all things You have given to Me are from You,
7 Now they know that all things You have given to Me are from You,
8 because the words that You gave Me,
I have given them.
John 17
And that is just some of the proof that shows how we Christians know that it is the Lord Jesus of whom Moses wrote in the Torah as the coming prophet.
However, we can also know for sure that Muhammad is not the prophet of Deuteronomy 18 because:
And that is just some of the proof that shows how we Christians know that it is the Lord Jesus of whom Moses wrote in the Torah as the coming prophet.
However, we can also know for sure that Muhammad is not the prophet of Deuteronomy 18 because:
a) Yahweh never raised up Muhammad from among the Israelites. Muslims claim Muhammad was an Ishmaelite, not an Israelite
b) Yahweh never put His words in Muhammad's mouth. Muhammad himself claimed that his words came from Jibril, not from Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and
c) If what Muhammad said was true, then it was Jibril who commanded Muhammad about what to tell his followers. It was never "Allah" himself
Or are Muslims now going to argue that Jibril is their God?
Or are Muslims now going to argue that Jibril is their God?
Jesus is LORD!

This one, too:

Secondly, we know Moses isn't God for a very large number of reasons. Here are a few.
Moses did not descend from heaven as the Lord Jesus did:
13 No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.
John 3
Moses never claimed to be God. The Lord Jesus did:

Moses was never called God by the Israelites. The Lord Jesus was:

And one more example...
Moses never said the Israelites could pray to him. The Lord Jesus did:

Hope that helps!
