Whose Land Is It Anyway? Part 7

  While Muslim apologists tend to make a big deal of the many similarities between Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic as Semitic languages, this is one time they may regret it.

  As promised in the previous installment of this series, we will show in this post that whenever Arabs speak the name of their god's hated enemies, they are in fact belying their claim that "Palestine" belongs to those people.

  Let us hear what some of them have to say about the Jews and why they believe this in this short video:

  Throughout the video clip, there was one word which you heard repeatedly, and that was the Arabic word for Jew:

  "Yahud" or "Yahood."

  This Arabic word was borrowed from the Hebrew which was self-descriptive of the Israelis:

  The Jews live in Yehuda (Judea) and they are called Yehudi.

  The Hebrew name for "Jew" comes from the name of their homeland, Judea. Pronounced "Jew-dee-yah" in English, this is the very same land that was later renamed "Palestine" by the occupying Roman Emperor Hadrian in 135AD.

  The land of Judea is known in Hebrew as "Yehuda," and this is where Jews get their name. They live in Yehuda, and they are called Yehudi, and Arabs call them "Yahud."

  Let's say it again for emphasis:

  the Jews are named after their homeland of Judea.

  It is their Land.

  Just as Americans come from America, Italians come from Italy, Brazilians come from Brazil, Filipinos come from the Philippines, etc. the Jews come from Judea. And while the Jews have millennia worth of history to prove it, all the Palestinians can look back to is 1967, the year they first made their spurious claim.

  The Old Testament itself recorded this appellation for Jewry in Scripture texts more than 2,600 years ago. You can find the name in the Books of Ezra, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, and Esther.

  But to make things even worse for pro-Hamas and pro-Palestinian forces, the 1,200-1,400 year old Quran also testifies to the historicity and the accuracy of the name, as we can see in this sampling of ayat from the Islamic texts:
And the Jews [Yahood]  say the Christians follow nothing (true), and the Christians say the Jews follow nothing (true); yet both are readers of the Scripture. Even thus speak those who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differ. Sura 2:113
And the Jews [Yahood]  will not be pleased with thee, nor will the Christians, till thou follow their creed. Say: Lo! the guidance of Allah (Himself) is Guidance [Hooda]. And if thou shouldst follow their desires after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, then wouldst thou have from Allah no protecting friend nor helper. Sura 2:120
The Jews [Yahood] and Christians say: We are sons of Allah and His loved ones. Say: Why then doth He chastise you for your sins? Nay, ye are but mortals of His creating. He forgiveth whom He will, and chastiseth whom He will. Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and unto Him is the journeying. Sura 5:18
  With these verses, Muhammad himself testifies to his followers of the ties between the origins of the name of the people they are persecuting and their ancient homeland. Each time Muhammad called them Yahood, or Jews, he affirmed their connection to the Land.
  Today's Jews have already been proven -- historically as well as  genetically -- to be the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The mere fact that they have been miraculously brought back into their Land by the hand of God after almost 2,000 years in exile should be enough to give pause to any student of Bible prophecy. Add to that the fact that they have survived repeated Arab attacks against all odds is another indicator that they are living under divine protection, a "heavenly Iron Dome," so to speak.

  One must consider as well the roots of the inexplicable hatred that so many in the world today hold for the Jews. In multiplied millions, this is a rage which has been fueled even further by the anti-Semitic teachings of Muhammad, Hitler, and others. Get close enough to it and you will get a whiff of the sulfurous odor of its ultimate source.

  About 3,000 years ago, the psalmist Asaph penned some words which we may actually see fulfilled in our lifetimes:

Psalm 83

 1 God, do not keep silent.
    Do not be deaf, God; do not be idle.

 2 See how Your enemies make an uproar;
    those who hate You have acted arrogantly.

 3 They devise clever schemes against Your people;
    they conspire against Your treasured ones.

 4 They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation
    so that Israel’s name will no longer be remembered.”

 5 For they have conspired with one mind;
    they form an alliance against You—

 6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
    Moab and the Hagrites,

 7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek,
    Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre.

 8 Even Assyria has joined them;
    they lend support to the sons of Lot. Selah

  Whether Asaph knew he was writing prophecy or not is beside the point. One cannot just shrug off the facts: this was written more than two and a half thousand years before Islam was invented, and yet the descendants of the very same tribes he mentions are today screaming those very same words,

  "Let us wipe Israel out as a nation."

  As a human being, is it your choice to join them or to stand against them?

  A warning before you make your decision: it is never wise to go to war against YHWH.

  All who attempt to do so will be facing Someone Who they just cannot defeat...

  because He has already won the war.

Jesus is Lord!
