Where Does Jesus Say "I Am God" in the Aramaic Bible?

It has been pointed out in previous posts that Muslims seem enamored with the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ spoke Aramaic, primarily because they believe it proves that He worshiped their god, Allah. But the similarities between Aramaic, Hebrew and Arabic are only proof that they have the same Semitic roots and not much more.

But Muslims have not stopped claiming that Jesus never said He was God in the Bible, a fact which has been proven on this blog a (growing) number of times, and so this post is being written. In it we will combine Jesus' pronouncements of His deity with the Muslim love of Aramaic, albeit translated into easily comprehensible English.

We will do this simply by quoting the verses in which Jesus unabashedly proclaims that He is God using the translation known as the Aramaic Bible in Plain English.

Let's begin with the Gospel of Matthew:

But Yeshua immediately spoke with them and he said, “Take heart; I AM THE LIVING GOD. Do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27

Now from the Gospel of Mark:

"For they all saw him and they were afraid and immediately he spoke with them and he said to them, “Take heart, I AM THE LIVING GOD; do not be afraid.” Mark 6:50

"But Yeshua said to him, “I AM THE LIVING GOD, and you shall behold The Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of Heaven.” Mark 14:62

  And from Luke's Gospel:

"But all of them were saying, “You are therefore the Son of God?” Yeshua said to them, “You are saying that I AM THE LIVING GOD.” Luke 22:70

And finally, from the Gospel of John the Beloved:

"Yeshua said to her, “I AM THE LIVING GOD, I who am speaking with you.” John 4:26

"But Yeshua said to them, “I AM THE LIVING GOD, do not be afraid.” John 6:20

“I said to you that you shall die in your sins, for unless you shall believe that I AM THE LIVING GOD, you shall die in your sins.” John 8:24

"Yeshua said to them: “Timeless truth I speak to you: Before Abraham would exist, I AM THE LIVING GOD.” John 8:58

“Now I am telling you before it happens, that when it has occurred, you shall believe that I AM THE LIVING GOD.” John 13:19

"They were saying to him, “Yeshua the Nazarene.” Yeshua said to them, “I AM THE LIVING GOD.” But Yehuda the traitor was also standing with them. And when Yeshua said to them, “I AM THE LIVING GOD”, they went backward and fell to the ground." John 18:5-6

To those who would ask, "Does Jesus ever say He is God in the Bible?" He Himself says,

“I AM THE LIVING GOD.”

Jesus is LORD!

It's not a translation but a lie because the Aramaic doesn't say that and Allaha isn't in the text nor is the living God your using a false altered translation and those words are not in the original manuscripts and nobody else translates it this way except Glenn David Bauscher

He chooses to wrongly translate verses where Jesus says I am he to I am the living God, and your falling for this because your desperate or didn't study the original text.

He admits it in his commentary. https://wit-resources.s3.amazonaws.com/Peshittant.pdf

“Ena Na”is an idiom which 97% of the time indicates speech from The Deity in The Old Testament Peshitta text (144 of 148 times in five O.T. books). It is equivalent to the Hebrew “Ahiah Asher High”, in Exodus 3:14- “I AM WHO I AM”. Lamsa translates this “Ahiah Asher High” in Exodus 3:14 as “I Am The Living God”, which I have chosen as a translation for this phrase where it indicates Divine speech.

The Aramaic Scriptures . com translates the exact same word "ENA NA as I am but Glenn David Bauscher translates the same word as I am the living God because he's lying to try and trick people to believe that Jesus claimed to be God and that's deceit.

My friend, why try to prove something you do not understand? When Jesus said "I Am God", he was not speaking for himself. Jesus was a prophet of the living God, and the Living and True God, spoke through him words out of his mouth as God promised in Isaiah, and other OT books. Jesus said many times his words were not his own, he did not speak for himself, nor was the doctrine he was teaching his, but that from He who sent him. It seems easy to see that many have not yet found the kingdom within that Jesus told about. The kingdom within is where your living God dwells. He knows you, your thoughts, heart, and soul. Nothing is hidden from him. He even hides himself from those who do not seek him, yet he reveals himself to those who do.

When Christ Jesus asked one of his disciples, “Whom say ye that I am?” the disciple responded, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:15, 16).

@bernie said... "The muslims say there is NO I AM in aramaic. Not that he said I am god."

Firstly, Muslims did not write the Bible, either in Greek or Aramaic, therefore their opinion about what the Bible says or does not say is no more valuable or believable than what Hindus or Buddhists might say about the Bible

All of the people who wrote the Old Testament were Jewish believers in Yahweh.

All of the people who wrote the New Testament were Jewish believers in Yahweh, with the possible exception of Luke, although some argue that he, too, was a Jew.

These Jews were not Muslims. They were Israelite believers in God, and obviously they would have known better than Muslims what they believed and Who they believed in

Muhammad did not invent Islam until 610AD, or almost 600 years later. There is no logical reason why any Christian in his right mind should believe that Muhammad knew better than actual Jewish followers of Yeshua (Jesus in Hebrew) Who it was they believed in. In fact, Muhammad made plenty of mistakes about both Christian and Jewish beliefs, which only makes things worse for your argument

Secondly, anyone who claims there is no "I Am" in Aramaic would also be making the claim that there is no I Am in the Greek Septuagint, written hundreds of years before the time of Christ. Is that the claim you are making?

If so, please prove it, @bernie

1) One answer to your claim from the Old Testament is here:

https://apologika.blogspot.com/2019/02/one-of-proofs-that-yahweh-is-not.html

2) Another answer, this time from the New Testament, is in the words of the Lord Jesus in Matthew 28:

19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

The Lord says Father, Son and Spirit have ONE Name. What is that name, please?

3) More answers, now from both the Old and New Testaments, are here:

The Greek Gospels were written hundreds of years before the Aramaic texts.

The argument is a very simple one. The translation used in the article above is the Aramaic Bible in Plain English. When it says it is written in Plain English, that means it is putting things in the clearest possible way

Here are different translations of John 8:58. Note how they all render it the same way. Or more specifically, that the Lord Jesus said He is the I Am

New International Version
"Very truly I tell you," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"

New Living Translation
Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am !”

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.”

Amplified Bible
Jesus replied, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, before Abraham was born, I Am.”

Holman Christian Standard Bible

American Standard Version
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was born, I am.

Contemporary English Version
Jesus answered, "I tell you for certain that even before Abraham was, I was, and I am."

Douay-Rheims Bible
Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you, before Abraham was made, I am.

English Revised Version
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Good News Translation
"I am telling you the truth," Jesus replied. "Before Abraham was born, 'I Am'."

GOD'S WORD® Translation
Jesus told them, "I can guarantee this truth: Before Abraham was ever born, I am."

International Standard Version
Jesus told them, "Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, before there was an Abraham, I AM!"

Literal Standard Version
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham’s coming—I AM”;

NET Bible
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the solemn truth, before Abraham came into existence, I am!"

New Heart English Bible
Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM."

Young's Literal Translation
Jesus said to them, 'Verily, verily, I say to you, Before Abraham's coming -- I am;'

When the Lord Jesus called Himself the I Am, the Jews understood fully what He was saying. That is why John the Beloved writes this:

58 Jesus said to them, “I assure you: Before Abraham was, I am.”

59 At that, they picked up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus was hidden and went out of the temple complex.

The Lord Jesus said He is God many times, not just in these passages. More examples here:
